Booked in for tomorrow morning for new fuel sender and trip meter reset on my DVT, hoping it all goes well. Ducati Manchester have been spot on. Decent blokes and their service so far has been fantastic. Just done a trip around the Highlands and despite the fuel gauge acting up I have loved every minute Iv'e spent on the Multistrada. Normally when I purchase a bike and things go wrong I get really disgruntled with it and end up getting rid, but the Ducati seems to keep shining me on despite its little foibles. I have defo become a Ducati fan
I too use DMC, although there is a new satellite Ducati dealer of DMC opening on Stoke-on-Trent soon which will be closer, I'm inclined to stay with what I'm happy with Noticed that wet weather doesn't phase you Spannerman, I ran my DVT in awful weather (got it 2nd Sept) just to get it past the 1st service. No problems (found the screen more useful that I expected) but I did notice how much grime the tyres throw up at it (front and rear)... So I've fitted the Evotech radiator and engine guard: Radiator & Engine Guard Set for Ducati Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Impressive quality for the price (engine guard looks military grade!) I just wish there was something to stop the grime from spraying the rear (a longer hugger?)
Hi Nickshoot, I will ride in any weather just takes me hours to clean the bike afterwards. Got my DVT back from Ducati Manchester yesterday afternoon, Fuel gauge now fixed and trip meter not reseting back to zero anymore....
Nice to see a bike like the Multi being ridden in all weathers. It seems a shame to keep it in the garage because its raining. I work on the principle that if you are going to pay for all those electronic safety nets, you might as well check they all work when needed ;-) The last few day commuting in the rain has proved that they definitely all work!
Spannerman, I recognise the bridge and parking area in your image. If I'm right there is a plaque to remember the marines who trained during the second war in the area. They were perfecting the use of the 2 Man subs that were used to place mines on enemy vessels. I've been there and would like to go back again with mates on our next trip, problem is I can't remember exactly where it is other than north of Ullapool. Can you help?
Sorry for late reply, but you have details now....Yep the whole Scotland trip was superb. The DVT ran superb apart from the fuel sender giving up the ghost halfway up the Hartside pass
