1200 Bike Theft Alert

  1. Just heard about the latest way the scum bags are working.
A biker was in Alston/Hartside area recently and when he got home began cleaning his bike, he found just under the swing arm a tracker had been stuck on it. About the size of a computer memory stick, and not in line of sight unless you were looking, or as he was doing cleaning his bike.
I rarely clean my bike, so I'll have to check it if its left anywhere parked up & out of site. Its so easy at biker places as many people walk round looking at bikes.
    Keep your eyes open etc.

  2. Where can you get tiny trackers like this? Besides someone's swinging arm?

  3. Cheap Chinese made things readily available on the internet. Battery powered, short life but enough to get a fix on the bike's home address. The subject's come up on the KTM forum as well. This has been going on in the off-road world for some time but now it seems its expanded to street bikes and thieves are prowling round popular biker meets and tagging bikes to order.

I'm fucking fuming, if I catch someone doing that I'll tear their fucking throat out.
