Bike Wrapping Specialists

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by nath, Dec 1, 2020.

  1. Does anyone know of any wrapping specialists around the south coast area?
i want to get my V4 OEM track fairings wrapped. Not interested in painting track fairings (mainly due to the cost vs wrapping) and they’ll inevitably get marks going in and out of my van, stillages and gravel traps.

looking at sublime designs which is a 3 hour drive but if there’s any closer to home that are decent I’d obviously prefer that.

    cheers,

    nath

  2. Honestly. It always cost me less to paint my race fairings to a good standard than bother with wraps.

sublime are good, as is Chalkies.

my brother in law does wrapping and is in Kent but not sure on his availability tbh

  3. Had a few quick quotes for both painting and wraps and there’s a big difference. £420 from sublime for what I’m after (pics attached of my choices).

had fully painted fairings on my RSV4 track bike which looked wicked but if they are gonna get scratched/marked I’m not bothered with spending loads on a perfect paint job This time around.

  4. That’s a pretty reasonable wrapping quote to be honest and fair point mate

I pay about 25-300 £ for a pukka paint job on mates rates. But as you say, it does scratch

  5. Bloody hell thats a great price. Can I be their mate too?

  6. Does anyone PPF a paint job? That’s what I plan to do. I’ve bought the kit and gleaned huge levels of expertise from YouTube.

Just need to brush up on my temper control and swearing skills before I start.

  7. I’ve never bothered personally. But if I had something like a v4R I might

  9. Probably. Can’t beat a good paint job though...

  10. I had my OE Speciale fairing done with ppf. A real challenge on a bike due to the small radii and sharp changes of angle. Mostly a very good job but if you are OCD, it will drive you crazy. Andy

  11. I think they carry them in stock as very popular I believe. Almost as popular as a Martini rep!

  12. A Martini bike would be a homage rather than a rep as no Ducatis have ever raced in Martini colors, please do keep up at the back !!!!

Anything I have had painted has been bespoke rather than rep.

  16. It’s just that you’re good value for a ribbing. Like that bloke that would chase you and your mates when you knocked on his door and ran off ;):upyeah:
