Birthday Shocker

  1. Today Mrs Arq and I were discussing what we should get a relative's young son for his birthday.

    Mrs Arq "What about an Airfix model aeroplane kit?"

    Arq "Good idea, I used to like doing them at his age, I will have a look online"

    So, I looked online at the Airfix website.

    Apart from most being on Pre-order, I looked at the prices>

    Arq to Mrs Arq "Fuck that, I'm not paying that much for a plastic Spitfire" (£50)

    (mine use to cost 10 shillings at most, IIRC)

    Mrs Arq "Yes, fuck that....get him a couple of oranges"

  2. Is that the 1:24th scale model? Made one of those as a kid. Maybe you can find it cheaper elsewhere?
