I need to replace some bits to get my beloved 999 back on the road, so if anybody has any of the following that they don't need, I'd be very grateful: r/h footpeg (just the part that moves/springs) R/h rear indicator Foot brake lever (only the sliding, adjustable part, main lever is ok. Screen Screen bulb holder/parking light thing R/hand mirror support casting Both mirrors Fingers crossed
Will have a look over the weekend (which is busy ) so please message me if no reply by Monday evening . I wont have mirrors or brake lever bit but other stuff may be in a box or two from my prang a few years ago ! Bike was written off and me only partly , we are now both on the road.
I have a brake lever and possibly the light bulb thingy you can have, I will have a look in the morning
I have an OEM screen with parking light cut out - clear (but black fading to clear at the front) you can have
Awww, thanks Guys This forum is amazing My dressings are off now. Still wedded to that damned sling though - can’t wait to get rid...
I too have a screen as per Exige its standard but has a small piece broken out of it where the fixing screws go but it doesn't show when fitted take your pick between which one you have , I can post out a R/H foot rest without spring and pivot pin or you can have a complete R H footrest inc mounting bracket F O C . Let me know address ect. Im sure I have an indicator some where !
Thanks Chase, Chizel is already sending me a footpeg and indicator and, given the choice, I think I’ll go with an intact screen. Many, many thanks for the kind offer though. What I don’t have is a footbrake peg, so I may have to get a new one of those. OR
This is amazing guys. I think all I’m short of now is the parking light that goes in the screen. Love this forum. Has anybody deleted theirs and swapped to a plain screen with no cut-out perhaps???
It was like Xmas today. Got a beautifully packaged parcel of goodies from Chizel. Cheers Chiz, you’re a gent! OR
My seat-unit is in a bit of a state and it occurs to me that converting from biposto to monoposto is a popular move. So, does anybody have a spare red biposto seat unit I wonder?? OR ps The insurance have agreed to allow me to arrange my own repairs and not write the bike off, which is good news. Less good is that I can't get signed off to drive till I've seen the surgeon again in another 3 weeks. The shoulder is getting more and more movement in it though, so I should be able to do some light spannering soon
