Following on from my post on the use of stainless steel bolts, does anyone know for sure what the OEM Ducati bolts are made of? They have a sort of yellowish tinge to them. Thanks
They are standard grade 8.8 steel bolts, Zink plated and gold passivated. Put your old bolts in white vinegar for a few days to strip the Zink and take them to a galvanic plating shop. It costs pennies and they look like new. Here are some I had done recently.
