I've never understood the reason why Americans feel the need to demonstrate the wonder of their bikes by bouncing them off of the rev limiter. It makes me cringe every time. Example:

If your engine revs to 12,000 RPM ,those poor little pistons are are going up and down 200 times a second with dramatic acceleration and deceleration on every stroke with the slightest of oil providing lubrication if up to temperature. Gawd.
well I feel like an arse..... just commented on a post earlier that I love the sound of a v2 revving its bollox out and the sound of my 748 bouncing off the rev limiter is like music!!! Does this make me a mongrel? btw I did mean whilst riding it not whilst parked up if that's any better?
Reminds me of brands wsb 99, feckin Germans nailing their bikes till they blew up in the campsite at 03.00 hrs
