Just got back from a bike collection in Aylesbury, gritters everywhere on the road so I'll probably not be riding
shame, I got the same idea from journey back here this evening as temperature dropping off now and currently - 4 deg (5 miles away from Boxhill) EDIT Frost went at about 3 am and temp is plus a few degrees now. (9 am - ish)
How many of you hardy-types made it? It was still 0 degs. here at 9 a.m. - and the roads were heavily gritted last night. Wait until next month - hope for better weather by then
just got in ! I think we got frozen to the spot.. only me Peter and nephew and Merv. Couple of Multistradas came and went blah blah etc
I'm with you on that one Sue, its still brass monkey's out there! Not only is there alot of salt on the roads, there's also some massive craters as well! Look forward to seeing you all soon!
Thanks for the Apple pie Chris, it went down a storm with me tea!!!! It was fairly busy at Box Hill but not heaving due to the cold weather i think?? Nice to meet Merv and he looked really cold but had a cool Ducati tea cosy on his head.
a pleasure Peter, thanks for the cup of T - we both must of really needed a reason to be out as I still can't believe we stood there (I know you moved around more than me!) for more than 3 hours without catching pneumonia. Turns out that Chris who I was talking to, went to the same college at nearly the same year. Anyone eavesdropping on the three of us would have thought they were at a Howard Hughes/Heath Robinson convention - they both like their Diesel motorbikes and going to the 'War and Peace' event. Enjoyed talking to your nephew but have forgotten his name - thank goodness he was alright after Thursday. Looking forward to next time, shame Jerry didn't come in his 'Chelsea'
Phah way to cold for Jerry no doubt, i bet he culd not have survived outside the warmth of his 4x4 for more than ten minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
