Brake Bleeding.

  1. Just thought i would share a very easy way of bleeding front brakes, after years of struggling with getting air out of the lines after fitting new ones on various bikes in the past a mate advised the following.
Fit new lines ,remove calipers from mountings, fill reservoir with fresh fluid, close bleed nipples, pump lever until the pads in each caliper are touching, make sure the reservoir doesn't run empty, secure calipers with cable ties to handlebars and leave overnight.
Next day carefully prise the pads in each caliper back as far as possible watching that the reservoir doesn't overflow,(remove some fluid with a syringe) refit calipers and pump the lever ...jobs a good'n.
I was sceptical but tried it recently on a project Gixxer750 of mine and it actually works...no reason why it wouldn't work on others, not sure about radial jobbies tho...:D....not sure if this post is in the right category ,El toro was on about setting up a tech section.?:upyeah:
