The Streetfighter price is incl. DK tax, which is very high, so the price can not be compared to eg. UK prices. The 998S price is excl. DK tax, so more comparable.
Depends on how old the bike is, condition, what other similar bikes are sold for etc. It is a calculation made by the tax authorities. The 998S is 100K DKK excl. tax and 150.000 incl. tax. according to the sales add. This implies either that it is an estimation made by the seller or the seller has received a final calculation by the tax authorities. On new bikes the tax is 150%. This is the 2018 Ducati price list in DK: The V4 Panigale Speciale is 80,000 GBP
To provide an example. This 1098 is currently for sale in DK excl. tax for 49,900 DKK https://www.123mc.dk/brugt/mc/ducati/1098/til-salg/153572 Similar 1098’s sold in DK incl. tax is around 150-170,000 DKK. If you buy the 1098 excl. tax the tax authorities will look at similar sold 1098’s and reach a conclusion that tax will be in the region of 100-120,000 DKK. If you buy a bike without tax you can only use it for track use or as decorative ornament in your living room. If you want to ride it on the public streets you need to pay the tax.
Sorry, but there is - 20% anything up to 6000kms imported from Europe has vat applied again, no matter how old! It has been discussed in depth on a recent thread with someone selling a 998 FE from Denmark - look it up in the for sale section.
