hi all Has anyone overhauled their billet clutch master? Asking as i’m struggling to work out how to get the push rod out. I was expecting to see a circlip there but when I pulled the boot off, there’s just this. I’ve tried to rotate the bottom bit using circlip pliers but not shifting. Got the new kit off addiction motorsports and have sent him a message to see if he can shed any light but thought i’d ask here as well. The master was fitted to a 998RS but don’t have much more info regarding the model or age. Thanks, Ian
I’ve only ever sent my master cylinders to FTR for servicing. The last time, they were happy to do the front brake almost by return of post but the clutch they would only send back to Brembo. Not sure why but your issue may have some bearing be the reason. Andy
Thanks Andy. I thought it might have been easy as i’m only changing the pin and span adjuster. Saw these online... I know this is the brake side but thought they may have been similar.. Ian
Those two holes are a clue. Looks like it needs a c spanner with two pegs on it. Like the ones you use to swap blades on an angle grinder. Good luck.
Going to speak with him now but not throwing the towel in! If it means sending it off or it’s just fooked, i’ll chop the screw and carefully tig the new one on.
