1260 Buying A New One- Recommended "accessories"

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by spanish, Jun 21, 2018.

  1. Thinking of the big change round and the 1260 pp very high on the agenda.
Thinking of extras to add to the bike from new without thought of cost at present and wondered what experience is out there to advise.
Present possibles include PR5's, Full termi. (and they are the expensive bits), evotech engine guard and sat nav holder.
Any other suggestions. Wondered whether price-wise better to bite the bullet on purchase than wait a year.
Still to test ride the 1090 though!

  2. If it’s a Pikes Peak you are after then you will already have a Termi stubby ?
I fit a Rizoma tail tidy-cleans back end up
Spider grips-originals on 2012 were uncomfortable for me
Leo Vince de cat and set up at CJS -1260may not need that ? Made huge difference
Navihalter sat Nav holder- German made puts sat Nav in best position for me,good quality
Eagle winglets -small plastic infills that increase forward facing profile of wind protection
I went to Brembo M4 callipers at the front - the weakest point of a great bike imho
Also upped front and rear suspension springs
You may have all of that covered with natural progression of a 2018 bike ?
Last but not least BST carbon fibre wheels- thought long and hard about the expense on this type of bike but made a world of difference
Good luck and have fun modding , your wallet is the determining factor

  3. 42t rear sprocket.

  4. Key less fuel cap, Ilmberger front mudguard and handguards.

  5. Breakdown recovery.
