As anyone had any experience with buying products from Australia.Trying to find out what sort of import duties there will be on an exhaust system valued at £1800. I can't make heads or tails of the info. on line. If buying myself the postage will be £85 so £1885 in total. I have been quoted £2300 by a company in the UK who sells them plus will have peace of mind if any problems with the exhaust occurs. Can anyone shed any light on this. Thanks.
VAT @20% + the import duty which is calculated using a code for the type of goods. From what I can see the duty is unlikely to be less than 2.5% so your total is £2250 + postage. No brainer IMO, buy from your UK supplier. Andy
