Hey 2002 748s Had a search but no joy , appears my 748 rear caliper is sticking I read on here , Ducati dont supply Brembo rebuild kits I am looking for suggestions , where to get; if any traders on here sell these items I would like OE kits , if anybody has part numbers or sizes (Its a KTM part number?) Look up Trevor Pope. KTM dealer with online parts diagrams of Brembo stuff. Allegedly there was a court case in the US, which led to Brembo asking vehicle manufacturers to sign some sort of non liability agreement. KTM signed but not Ducati, so now no Brembo parts via Ducati.
Was talking to Powerhouse, Bleed nipples are only plated steel; a bit $$ for the kit I think Decided to get a new Rear Caliper with Pads,pins .. for 98 GBP off Ducati
Quick Q: the Rear Caliper on the Bike has started to stick , I took it off and cleaned it (without completely dismantling) ; Pistons look in excellent condition , I did not take them fully out , just 1/4 of the way I ordered a new Brembo Caliper for 106 euro ,it worked out just as cheap as seals (it comes with brake pads & New pin) , less hassle than rebuilding , plus can sell on old caliper Until it arrives , apart from trying not to use the rear brake ; rear rotor gets hot to touch but is cold fter 5 mins , would this cause issue with the wheel bearing ? Its nice weather , probably will be another week before the caliper arrives
