Cambridge Area Ducati Tuning

  1. Hi all. New to Ducati and this forum all in 1 week!
Got an 1198 09 plate and generally good.
It is fitted with termis i believe aftermarket air filter and recently a power commander and 'italianspeed' ecu (i think).
Ducati st neots yesterday told me that it is running rough at idle and cracking open the throttle highlights this as sounds like one cylinder a bit lazy. I connected to pc5 software and map currently running is for 1198s with standa4d cans etc etc. I think therefore i would like a proper tune on dyno.
Can anyone recommend anything/anywhere? Should i remove power commander and refit standard ecu and get that tuned?

    Any thoughts or experiences appreciated.

  2. Hi Mate i have got to get my 1198 done, try BSD in peterborough, i have got the no somewhere i will try and dig it out, the guy down their can also reprogram your existing ECU, and map it out, he told me to do any mods first, ie filters, cans gearing etc before he re-maps it.

  3. Xbikes will sort you out :)

  4. Another vote for BSD. Ive used them since their very early days of setting up in business and Mark there knows his stuff. He`s also very experienced with Ducatis and has a rolling road etc. They are based in Eye, just outside of Peterborough, so not that far from Cambridge. 01733 223377

  5. Any idea on the cost for a session?

  6. Hi, they have quoted me £350 + vat to re-map/ set up and dyno my standard 1198, he has said he can smooth out the low down fueling so 20-30 is more bearable (i have gone 14t on front sprocket) and when it is mapped you should get better fuel consumption and better mid range, and few more ponies.
