All the carbon parts on my bike are the new matt/satin finish apart from the exhaust end cap. Can you spray with matt lacquer and/or lightly rub with fine wet n dry ?
If you spray with matt laquer, you will have to rub the gloss down to get a key IMO......that's assuming you can find a matt lacquer which is heat and solvent resistant. I would be inclined to use 3M Trizact pads say, 3000 or finer.........but I expect you to have to then polish it a bit after reducing the gloss to get the satin finish..... Try asking Sev.......he knows a lot about sanding, paint and finishing.
