I have just found out that the connector on the end of the crank sensor fitted to my RS engine is not compatible with my 748R wiring loom or the current bodge .............. sorry adaption I'm running on the current engine. Does anyone recognise what this is and know if the female part of the connector is commercially available ? TIA. Andy
I'm fairly sure that they are an Amphenol Military Spec connector. Could be this: 62GB-56T08-33SN Amphenol | Amphenol 62GB-56T08-33SN, 3 Way Cable Mount Plug Connector, Bayonet Coupling, Socket Contacts,Shell Size 8, 62GB Series | 450-348 | RS Libya Online
The RS was known to use military spec. wiring, no doubt the same as the 998RS. Have you thought about PM'ing Tomi as he has knowledge of the race bikes and has owned a 748RS.
Who would have thought that a good place to get Ducati wiring connectors would be ... Tripoli, Libya?
Not anal Steve, I've got this connector on both RS engines and I want to make up an adaptor to mate with this connector and the 748R loom which I want to keep standard for when the R gets put back together. I see the sensor is Merc but is the pigtail with the connector part of the whole thing ? Andy
Look on eBay "Ducati connectors" pretty sure it's the same company as above. I'll have proper look when I get home.
Why mess about changing things, it's a standard Socapex readily available here's the UK listing with the sizes, full data sheets etc. 62GB-56T08-33SN | Amphenol 62GB-56T08-33SN, 3 Way Cable Mount Plug Connector, Bayonet Coupling, Socket Contacts,Shell Size 8, 62GB Series | Amphenol
