Carbon Fibre Repairs....

Sadly my CF front mudguard had sustained some damage. It was a real annoyance and the only thing not perfect on my bike.

I've managed to find a small local company who specialise in repairing carbon fibre. Their specific expertise is in repairing carbon cycle frames, but they also repair damaged BST CF wheels. They are able to undertake repairs to structural components.

I'm just back from collecting my front mudguard and am extremely pleased with the quality of the repair, there is no sign of the damage at all and it looks brand new. I have no qualms about recommending these people, I have no connection other than being a very pleased customer.

Often damage to CF parts means expensive item replacement or just put up with the poor appearance.

If you need their services they are extremely friendly and have a quick turn round, they can post out repairs so no need to collect them.

Was surface damage, some surface delamination and the inside edge had lost a little material. Done by a disc lock.....
Repair cost was £50 which was much less than a new one!

    Their details are...........

  2. Good to know!

Do you have a before and after photos, or even just the ‘after’ with details of the damage?

  3. Good post:upyeah:

I was always of the opinion that like you say, very tricky to fix and look good... :)

  4. Yes very intrigued on the price charged out as i've a spare front mudguard for the 900ss that needs relacquering.

  6. I've seen a few on here that have managed that works themselves with positive results, but at the minute it's just a spare sitting in a building somewhere so as & when i need it.

  7. Also interested if anyone has repaired themselves, refinishing's easy enough but have a chunk out of mine from previous owner and a disc lock.

  8. I have lost the lust for CF after running into the repair issue. A fuel tank, fairing panels and front sub-frame languish in my garage waiting for a solution.
Metal and fibre glass are much easier and cheaper to live with.

  9. Yeah, I’ve a feeling I’m yet to experience your pain

  10. Sorry no before picture but I've added an after.

  11. They could repair all of those for you, why not sent one to them.

  12. So did mine and the cause was also a disc lock
