Carbon Safety - Top yoke and instruments

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Cranker V2, Sep 2, 2013.

  1. Will my top yoke carbon stick on cover be safe in the rain and salt. Plus, it sits in direct sunlight at times. It's cheap tat off ebay and I am slightly concerned it may cause a structural defect. It does look boss though :upyeah:

Another carbon item that worries me is the clock surround. Now it's been applied, I can't see the speedo clearly in the 20-100mph range. Do they have to be applied in a specific manner that enables clock vision to occur? Thank fook I ain't got carbon wheels!

  4. well I was talking to a mate of mine and hes well up on carbon emmisions.

he reckons if you welly it its gonna make your engine melt as the carbon emmisions go up and were never tested by the engineers.

he said the engineers never heard of it.

but another mate who owns a chip shop said he's talking shit and he knows what hes on about, he sells loads of fish and drives a kia
