I know, really tiny part, but I need a decent grommet so I can replace the self tapper that's holding on the right hand front indicator, with the proper screw. It's a small white plastic grommet that pushes into the fairing. My dealer can't source it. Anyone got one or two hanging around? Cheers, Humbug ps Wallace and Gromit jokes most welcome
A bit of windscreen washer pipe or similar, heat up the end with a lighter until it starts to melt, flatten the end against a cold bit of metal and then push it into the fairing. AL
Ah, you have a parts list..searching on google gave an alternative part 036499020 though it says it's M6: www.mdinaitalia.co.uk - WellnutM6 Does that look right? Does Halfords stock this kind of thing? Cheers, Humbug
I meant to say use a self tapper as well...... ...today I had to do exactly the same job, but fortunately I had a couple of plastic/nylon square bungs which I fitted into the hole which I filed square to suit, and ran an M4 tap through it....job done. You can get small square screw thingys from car body repair places....they have loads... AL.
