I have a 999 and have removed the cat in the rear box- since found out that the front cylinders cat is in the front pipe somewhere in the middle. Any idea on how the remove it. EC regs state that bikes are exempt from have the things ..
I've just done exactly the same thing for my 749 silencer. I looked into removing the cat from the pipe and it's a test of patience I've heard. Its located under the tiny heat shield and you can cut a portion out and then chisel the cat out. I wouldn't bother, I'm looking at a Mivv decat pipe which is around £120. Less hassle.
