Years ago I had the original Tuono which had Aprilia etched on the exhaust, think Termignoni did it on some of their exhausts also. Is it possible and does anyone offer 'one off' chemical etching onto stainless or aluminium ?
I work in the engineering dept of a pharmaceutical company and we have to mark stainless containers, scoops, samplers, etc. How we do it is to get a local sign maker to die-cut vinyl decals with what we want on the item and sand blast it in a Guyson cabinet. You can also use sulphuric acid (like in your battery) to etch the surface. Clean the finished area, peel off the decal and hey-presto, perfect logo/part number is left.
