Anyone with any experience of these? 748 sidestands have never been the best design, IME the stand bends, and the bracket bends too. And now, corrosion is eating away at the foot of the stand. Unclear how this happened, but the safety of the stand is coming into doubt. I haven't yet rung Ducati to see how much a new one costs,but the fact that people are asking 150 quid for second-hand ones on ebay (which might not be any good) tells me all I need to know! I was just chatting to a chap who said, you might be able to get one fabricated in steel, or an existing steel one modified. But now I see you can buy one for around 20 quid.
