Cleaning Multistrada Crank Cases And Engine

  1. I am building a special from a 2003 Multistrada. The engine is very tatty and I was wondering if it was best the strip it down and vapour blast the cases, or bead blast them? Can i leave the cases bare alloy afterwards? Or should I paint them?

    I prefer to leave them bare, and spray them with ACF50 if i can. Anyone got any comments?
     
  2. I had an Alazzurra 650 Pantah in the 80's with bare cases, I used it throughout winter for 5 years, allways got the cases back to new with alloy wheel cleaner & a stiff brush. Reakon with acf youl have no problenm, assuming your special wont see salt?
