Cleaning Spark Plug Area

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Cream_Revenge, Mar 21, 2016.

  1. Evening.

Anyone have any cunning ways of cleaning out the areas where the spark plugs go in without taking the cylinder heads off?

Would rather avoid anything falling in when I take the plugs out.

Tried hover with house pipe gaffer taped on end and rag on flat head screw driver.

    Any other ideas???

  2. leave the plug in and use your air line.

  3. Still don't have one, bought a 999 instead.[emoji10]

  4. I'm more concerned with bits falling into the chamber when I take the plugs out, or shouldn't I worry?

Was thinking of getting a can of compressed air like they use to clean PCs and maybe a piece of plastic tubing same diameter as the hole and attach to a hover.

  5. Blowing will have more effect than sucking, that's why compressed air is favourite.
