Cleaning Up Bodywork.

Discussion in 'Detailing and cleaning' started by comfysofa, Jan 27, 2019.

  1. Not sure where to put this....my Hyper has got a custom paint job. Its now getting on for 8 years or so old and i think, could do with tiding up....theres a few chips out of the laquer, a few wear marks. The lugs on the front sidepanels have seen better days - theyre there but repaired (again ok, but not sure if they can be strengthened.)

Anyone ever done this (found a company, sent all the bodywork off for a tidy up) or does that not exist...does it all have to be redone...and, if it did, i was thinking of sourcing old bodywork and getting that sprayed up....

    Thoughts ladies and gents??

  2. I imagine the guys who repair stone chips on cars could take care of the paint problems?

  5. Nottingham race-paints did this type of repair on a workmates bike about 2 or 3 years ago, an SP1 Honda I think it was - worth sending them a few pictures maybe. Do you know who did the original job? If so try them as they will probably have the colour codes used.
