Now I know they are not the best quality but I like the clear lens look on my 1098. I got a weird problem with it recently but to be honest I don't know if its been like this since day one. Recently I wired in a new Melotti tail tidy (opening a separate thread on it too) and was getting the bike ready for the MOT. The bike also has a modified lighting circuit so as I can switch off the lights, or run side/park or beams as I want. With the lights off I tested the brake light WTF the number plate light came on. Checked around the front and noticed the front park/side (or whatever you call them) was on too. Released the brake the lights went out. Thought it may have been some sort of earthing issue but after checking all my work (surprisingly) it wisnae me. To cut to the chase the CA tail light was backfeeding the sidelight circuit when the brake light was activated. Fixed with the insertion of a diode into the park light circuit (and one into the brake light circuit too in case something went awry there later). If this happened the opposite way around, lights feeding brake light circuit, it would annoy the shit out of others and has potentially very unsafe connotations, no brake indication Eeeek!! If the bike had lo beam on all the time then you'd never notice the problem. Just thought I'd post in case anybody else experienced anything similar John
