Clumsy git

  1. As title a bit heavy handed, in need of a fuel sensor fixing nut for the 748, the usual problem with a slight leak, so decided to nip it up and yes you guessed, it snapped the flimsy plastic nut.
Is there a metal or ally replacement, if not has anyone got a spare plastic one and last of all can they be purchased separately from the complete sender unit.
    Thanks Steve.

  2. Hi Steve, I am in the process of making some ally replacement ones. Should be done next week. Thread is M30x1.5mm

    Plastic ones not available separately.

Had mine leak on a euro t/d, then another bike in our group leak a couple of years later in Aragon.

  3. In the process of making some? does that mean you might have one for sale? I can find an ally replacement in America but the postage is a bit steep.
    Steve

  4. Yep, should be some spare.

  5. Yes please, If you could put my name on one I will be forever grateful.
    PM payment details.
    Steve

  6. About time someone did!!

    Put me down for one......

  7. ahh birdie was it just the nut/seal causing the leak
just having problems with my ss 750 fuel level sensor
thought it was the seal turned out to be the actual sensor leaking through

  8. Any spares after the above? if so I'd like one also.

  9. That thought had crossed my mind as I had seen someone had a leaking sensor unit on another post a while back, won't know now until the sensor is re-fitted.

  10. Done a small batch for Steve, mine and a couple of others that are spoken for.

Will make some more soon. Hopefully within two weeks.

  11. Perfect fit, great job Andy, can't thank you enough.

  12. Well here it is fitted, a bit fiddly removing the electric plug to fit the nut, a bit of patience required.
Left on blocks overnight to check for leaks and pleased to say all's well and back on the bike.
