Hi Trying to get the 2001 996 back to standard and I need a clutch cover. Some I have seen have 2 of the holes covered: Ducati 748/916/996 plus many more , Genuine Clutch Cover , good condition | eBay And some have holes in all 5 places. they will both will fit yours, only 4 of the bolts hold the cover on, the other 2 hold the clutch housing on, the more period for yours will be the 6 hole one, althought that one is of a 1098, and the original colour on yours may have been different, my 1999 996 one is a very dark greenish /dark grey colour, kev
just a thought, its probably the same one thats on this 2001 900ss, i only bought this bike for the engine, forks,swing arm & loom etc, the rest will be sold for spares , might be a few weeks though, so if you aint in a hurry, kev
Your a very naughty boy taking a perfectly good Ducati and stripping it for spares. 40 years time your kids will be seriously peeved. I'm after originality so if its the same as it should be then yes please. I'm in no hurry whatsoever. I wont even be fitting it, just want to put it in a draw so when I do sell it in 40 years to pay for a 18 year old Russian wife I can make it original. I also need heel plates and pillion foot pegs with heel plates. Are those heel plates the same as they look similar? The pillion pegs look wrong though.
yep agree, but bought it in project form although its all there, but needed the engine etc to build a TT2 replica , something along the lines of this, but mines going to be mainly red with gold marchesini wheels etc
