So followed the clutch master cylinder seal renewal post put a nice new clutch in bled the system ... Lovely! Been out tonight and the biting point has slowly moved to the lever being naerly all the way out before the clutch engages ..... and it's now slipping ... again , it feels like the master cylinder is pumping up ie not letting all the fluid return ? Changed the levers so maybe it's not letting the piston return properly ? If I unbolt the reservoir it does allow fluid to return from the slave so again I think it maybe not fully letting the master cylinder piston return ... any thoughts ??
Assuming you have std master cylinder. Remove to reservoir cap and undo to bleed screw that you can see in there. Do it carefully or it can gob out breakfluid when the Slavs cylinder returns. Yep it sounds like the piston is sealing the return port.
the symptoms do fit a partially blocked m/c port (around 0.5mm dia normally) but nothing to do with the new seal if it's OEM and fitted correctly, more likely it's debris left over from the degraded seal that you replaced. https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/1995-900ss-clutch-problem.36559/
