Just finished the last episode, fantastic and compelling viewing. Billy bob Thornton stole it for me. Has left a bit of a viewing flat spot, any recommendations?
Interesting to see where they take Homeland, last episode was quite disturbing when he hung, looked so real
New one on Sky - The Leftovers. And if you haven't seen them already... The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Wire, Ray Donovan, Spartacus: Blood and Sand (and the following series), Boardwalk Empire, The Walking Dead, Burn Notice, Elementary, Falling Skies, True Detective.
It has to be Breaking Bad. My commute to work means I got an episode each way. I've seen it three times now and I've now moved on to Sons of Anarchy. Not bad, but not a patch on Fargo or BB.
Love samcro, was off three months last year with a broken leg/clavicle so got up to date with sons and got through breaking bad. Think Boardwalk next. Thanks for the recommendations folks
Another vote for The Leftovers. Quirky and serious at the same time and their take on "What would happen if ...?" is intriguing. So far, bloody good!
don't watch many movies but saw a little bit of Fargo,, could never understand what was going on but reconed I didn't need to !!!!,,,but I did watch No Country For Old Men, Cohen brothers and certainly recommend it
has anybody been watching the new Peakey blinders,, I watched and enjoyed the first series but have not seen any of the new one
Glue is good on E4. Also watching Leftovers. Last Ship and Legends and Tyrant are ok. All been on for 3-4 weeks so should be on catchup.
rather than start a new thread - anyone watching second season? Overall it's shaping up better than the first season if a bit more unbelievable in places (UFO footage for example: - )) and so almost stepping up to Breaking Bad standards. This and Homeland making winter almost bearable :smileys:
Don't forget Homeland and Walking dead is back on, there is also The Returned, its french so subtitles.
I was absolutely gutted when I googled season one and found out it wasn't a true story despite saying so in the opening credits. Second season is showing real promise.
