I know some wheels can be swapped about and this may be a daft question but are all Ducati rear single siders interchangeable i.e. will the newer stuff like a 848 or Hypermotard fit on a 916 swing arm ?
I have 848 wheels on my 748 axle. Watch for ebay sellers advertising 848/1098/1198 wheels. The 1098/1198 wheels (rear) have a bigger 'ole for the larger hub.
i think all rear singe siders are all same except for 1098/1198 which have a bigger axle Not sure about the SF certainly true for 748/916/996/998, 848 Ms24/s4r, m796, m1100, & old shape multi & hyper, (personally done all of these on the monster and 998 except the hyper) only thing to look out for is the valve stem . straight valve stems will foul the calliper on some of the newer bikes easy to fix by replacing the stem with a right angle one
A word of caution, 5 spoke Marchesini mag alloys for the 916/748/99* don't fit the 848. The caliper hits the spokes. Andy
