Continental Tkc 80 For Multistrada 1200s

Discussion in 'Tyres' started by ducati7, May 21, 2017.

  1. Hello people, Searched around but was never able to find any relevant info. I am planning for a trip [60% Good roads - 40% Bad to very bad roads], thinking on picking up a set of off road tyres. I searched around but I am not sure about the size of tyre I should go for.

Please suggest, is TKC 80 a good option for off roads & if yes, what size I should go for.

    Appreciate & Cheers

  2. I have run TKC80. 120/70-17 front and 180/55-17 rear.
Not run much off-road, but alot on gravel roads, and they work good there. Because of the 17" front wheel on the Multi, tyre chose is limited if you want to go outside the pavement, so can't think of any better option than the TKC80.

On paved roads they vibrate a bit at low speed, and the rear tire wears quickly. But they work fine as long as you don't push it in the corners.

  3. How quickly do they wear?

  5. Another thumbs up, have them on my GS and they are great. Wear is pretty good - the 80s go much quicker
