Corbin Seat Pad/saddle Identification.

  1. I recently brought this Cobin seat pad, on the off chance I could make it fit the 900SL seat unit I'm using on my 1000SS project.

It certainly looks very similar to what is on the Corbin website for the 900SL:

But it has some obvious differences as can be seen below.

Some of the images make it look wider than the Genuine SL Seat Pad I have, but as can be seen in others it's almost the same size and shape

But when the pair of them are turned over there are obvious differences.

The Ducati Seat Pad is simply fitted with 4 bolts through the seat unit into the pad.

The Corbin seat pad has several brackets on it which look original, one of which is riveted to a bulge in the fibreglass base that will stop the pad sitting down on to the seat unit.

Obviously I can remove the brackets easily, and cut the bulge off the pan or cut a hole in my seat unit and make it fit.

Before I do that though, I'm wondering if anyone recognises the fitting method or can identify what it might fit.

    Thanks

  2. Does nobody have an idea?

I emailed both Corbin Europe and Corbin in the states with some images.

Corbin Europe have got back to me saying they are unable to identify a seat from an image.
