Thinking of buying one of these just for odd jobs and cleaning the bikes without the agro of cables and hose pipe etc. For me a lot of faff getting round the front of the house without extension leads etc.. The Worx one seems to come out top but for £200 seems a bit steep for the occasional use but prepared to buy if it’s the only one worth buying. I like the idea of the water supply from attaching a bottle. Any recommendations and experience welcome, Amazon sell ones for £50 but thinking the pressure will be no more than hose pipe connector and the battery lasts 20 mins. Many thanks..
My personal opinion is that there all pretty much the same. Get 1 that suits u, like if u have another tool that u could use the same battery with. I used a parkside 1 once, rubbish for a car but maybe ok for a bike.
I’ve got the Worx one that gets its water supply from a bucket rather than the mains. I bought it mainly for washing the dog after muddy walks and it does the job perfectly, although it is quite powerful when set to “jet” rather than “spray”, so you need to be careful around the old beef hula-hoop area.
I have both a Worx Hydroshot as well a mains no-name one off of Amazon. The Worx is good, lacking a little in power by comparison but this is fine for the bike. I've never used a bottle for water supply, instead use a bucket with the supplied feed hose. Very convent being battery powered. Battery life is enough for wet down, snow foam and rinse on the bike. Probably 20-25 mins of run time. Amazon currently have them at £99 or £120 (not sure what the difference is). Though it was £80 in May for a short while. This is for the basic set. I have the full kit which is currently £15 more. This was £123.50 in May... I looks like offers are there if you're patient. For the car and patio cleaning I tend to use the mains one.
IMO, the Worx is ideal for applying snow foam, shampoo and washing down a motorcycle. Limited pressure helps to avoid getting water where you don’t want it. I’ve used one for several years and my only complaint is getting hold of another battery but I don’t like to use the internet, I prefer to use a retail outlet I can visit. As for most other “around the grounds” uses, the restricted pressure becomes an issue or in a less polite phrase, I found it shit Andy
I have the Worx one (there are various versions of it so make sure you choose carefully). It works very well but remember to buy a big bucket as it goes through water very quickly.
You don’t get much cheaper than this, https://www.halfords.com/motoring/c...AkdDE3NTM3OTgxNTYkajQkbDAkaDA.&plpPlacement=9. Andy
That is an awesome bucket, although I'd love to see someone trying to carry 38 litres of water in a big floppy tub like that without getting absolutely soaked. It would be like one of the races they used to do in It's a Knockout!
I also have a Worx Hydroshot and it does the job for me. I have had it for a couple of years now and it's been faultless with no battery problems and I can share my batteries with my drill. I don't use it for cleaning my bikes, though, just the car and domestic stuff like path cleaning.
