Crank Position Sensor Question

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Itsamonster, Oct 8, 2020.

  1. C99A6A8E-5DC3-476F-AAFD-BC850EF18BB9.jpeg I bought a new crank position sensor. Cross referenced it and found a fiat (Magneti Marelli) one. Just wondering if it’s a problem that on the old one you can see the metal of the sensor and the new one is all enclosed with black plastic, on the end that takes the reading?

  2. Almost certainly not, and the enclosed one is less likely to suffer from oil ingress leading to a potential failure.
