i want one coz they look nice but are they crap? if not, which ones are worth considering and are they a doddle to fit? i dont want to fall into the scottoiler syndrome....i'll watch Dani Pedrosa do rear wheel steering thanks. cheers
on my old gsxr I plumbed the breather in to the exhaust evac through the deactivated PAIR valve. and blanked the airbox hose off. I dont think my 999 has a pair setup otherwise id do the same so im interested in this too !
Depends what you want really funki, is it just an anodized replacement for looks, if so they do the same job as your existing one. As for fitting they screw into the crank case but you will probably have to take the tank and air box off to lift the catch tank enough to remove the short hose connecting the two, half an hour tops. yeah just a bit of bling birdie..ive heard stories of certain ones blowing muchos oil into the airbox....design corse have a cpl at different prices but there doesnt seem to be any info on the specs... any recommendations?
Can't help with specific make, I have one on the 853 but no make on it, I put a new read valve inside and it seems to work ok. Steve
The reed valve is the crucial bit. Many of them ignore the prime function of the valve and just go for bling. If you fit a straight thru one, you need to mount the reed valve assembly in the airbox ala RS/Corse setup. no valve and you will fill the airbox with oil...
