1200 DVT Crash Protection

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Cliffords, Apr 8, 2019.

  1. Hi
What are the recommendations for crash protection. In the event of dropping it rather than firing it down the road at 50mph where I know its academic.
I have dropped my bike on my drive and I have no protection on it at all.

I have not seen frame sliders for the bike but plenty of bobbins that I cant see would do anything but load the frame at a single point .

    What are the views please

  2. I have a 1200 not the DVT so this might be nonsense.

Apparently and according to Pro V Twins, frame sliders can be very bad, I have put engine bars and front mushrooms? On the front wheel, apparently the mushrooms protect the expensive to fix forks, the engine bars are from a monster as ducati dont make them, had to buy as spares for the monster, i also have a history of dropping bikes lol, not the multi yet thank god.
