Anybody had any experience of this? Mrs T stupidly asked what I'd like to do for my half century birthday.. I've always wanted to do the Cresta Run since watching a documentary as a kid, Kings Head hill in Chingford North London was far as the dream ever went. Regards Kev
All I know is from a posh military family I knew (my dad was a Wingco in RAF) - this army Major’s family had a tradition that all offspring had to do the Cresta Run when they reached 16..”make a man of you...” As a 17 year old, I fancied their 16 year old daughter...she was absolutely shitting doing it but felt she had to so as not to let the family down... As far as I am aware, she didn’t die doing it. Good luck.
Yeah, don't think I fit there 'demographic' much! A neighbour in 1980s use to go every year, he also checked under his car each morning for bombs. Think he probably worked in Northern Ireland at some stage in his military career. Mrs is starting to say she'll come with the kids to watch, get the feeling family of 4 in St Moritz would be new bike expensive !! Edit **Kind of hoping to go with my brother & get on the lash
