Pulled the trigger on a pair of Rukka Kingsley trousers in the sale. As my old Rukkas were an EU58 and are a bit tight if I wear jeans underneath, I went for an EU60. Just been down to Infinity to try them on and the sizing is not very generous. If you are going to dig deep into your pockets, be prepared to get a size bigger than you think. I went for Kingsley and not Nivala 2 because of the overall safety rating, the Kingsley is AA, the Nivala 2 is A. Andy
Nivala has more stretch though and the size of the armour is much larger than many other brands AA gear. I was surprised you wear jeans underneath? I would think this would be pretty uncomfortable?
Before the advent of decent fitting armoured jeans, if I was riding somewhere for a ‘visit’ and going to wonder around for the day, I found it convenient to wear a pair of ordinary jeans under the Rukkas which can be whipped off and put in to the top box. The habit is hard to break Andy
FWIW, these might be more suitable for similar use - https://www.motolegends.com/richa-stripper-trousers-in-black
Funnily enough they aren’t designed as over trousers… and the manufacturer would strongly advise against wearing jeans under them (my friend works for the uk importer). that said, rukka do come out a touch small, berring is another that come out a bit small. Another fun fact, rukka put deliberately small pockets in their jackets and trousers. They hate big pockets and think that it increases danger (phone between the ribs etc)
