Cut Out / Tip Over

  1. Do Ducati actually have a tilt switch to stop the engine if the bike is on it's side?

    Mine kept running when I fell off in June, a friend's 1199 Pani does the same and also that video of the crash at The Ring shows his bike running on it's side.
     
  2. No. Some earlier 748/916 models had a wiring link where one could be fitted to comply with racing requirements but as far as I know Ducatis have never been fitted with tilt switches as an OEM fitment.
     
  3. As above. The aftermarket ones plug into the side stand switch and kill it that way.

  5. Easy enough to do on a bike with DTC. It's just programming.
