1200 Cyclops Adventure Sports Led Bulbs (led's That Really Work)

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Dennis T., Sep 21, 2015.

  1. This is a follow up to a post I started earlier... I have finally fitted the LED H11 Bulbs from Cyclopsadventuresports.com

Specs are 3200 lumens per bulb.

Install took all of 10 mins. There is a small driver box per bulb, but they all tuck away easily without removing any extra panels.

    Here are the pictures...

Low Beams, High Beams, and Ducati Performance AUX lights... 15800 combined lumens of output:

Im very happy to say the least.

The light is crisp, clear and has a very good pattern. Once the factory headlight housing is adjusted as needed no one flashes me when I'm running low beams with Aux lights...

All pictures were taken post adjustment.

  2. Every night-time insect (important creatures that help foster our eco-system) will be committing death dives into your headlamps. Whilst other nocturnal animals will be blinded,...well done!

    (post may contain sarcasm)

  3. Don't know if I'd like to meet you coming the other way :)

  4. When you take a photo of a light output the camera adjusts that photo so what you need to do is take one photo of the LEDs with a the standard lights in the same picture. As it is who knows what exposure the camera put on your pictures?

  5. Am I the only one expecting Zombies to break out of the barn at any moment?

May be it is just my medicine and too many late nights with the walking dead.

  6. Thanks for posting Dennis T. Lighting output looks good. The new DVT MTS has 4 bulbs 2 dip 2 main. When it flashes using the pass law the dip beams goes off and main beam bulbs come on. And the same for dip to main beam. Is this different to earlier MTS ?Looking at photo 3 it must be?

  7. Any photos is of the bulbs and ballast units?

  8. Stock the lights are the same as the 2015 DVT... John W. on here came up with a simple wiring mod that allows the main and dipped beams to stay on together when the Main beam is activated.... Just an extra 6400 lumens of output for me.

  9. Thanks Denis T. Do you have a link to the wiring mod please? Cheers

  12. Based on communications with the owner of the company that supplies these bulbs it was suggested that I "Clock" the high beam bulbs opposite of the 45 degree angle they are on now allowing more surface area of the reflector. I have done so (a quick 10 min job with a phillips screw driver and a small drill bit) and the results are fantastic... will be posting some updated pictures hopefully tonight.

  13. I will look forward to that Dennis. I am seriously thinking about these for the high beams on my Skyhook. Really want to balance up the great dip and driving lights with an equivalent main beam. Jon.

  14. Very useful post, Dennis - could you clarify this? Are you just rotating the main beam bulbs by 45° relative to where they'd naturally lock into place? Tx…

  15. Good pics am considering simple upgrade since you've put it so clearly...

how do these look from the front when lit up ? - in terms of colour - is like a more white but not quite led or does it stay closer to the white-yellow of the standard bulbs ?

Also is there is any delay in the high beams flash ?

    Thanks,

  16. Hi Dennis, can you explain this a little more? I don't understand exactly what you did.

    Thank you very much
