Dainese Stelvio Goretex Gloves Or Scout Goretex

  1. Has anybody got or used the Dainese Stelvio goretex gloves?

I'm after a pair of WP gloves (ideally Dainese) to take with me on the upcoming 'magical mystery tour' that's planned for the 18th September onwards.

Only one of the crew knows where we're going but we do know its in europe as were booked on a ferry to Calais the first afternoon.

Looking at today's weather I don't hold out much hope it'll be dry so I'm now stocking up on waterproof stuff.

I was initially considering the Dainese scout goretex but then I came across the Stelvio, they just look a bit tougher...... But does that make them a bit too bulky?

  2. Can highly recommend the Dianese Jerico, both warm and 100% dry. Andy

  3. I think they're a step up from the Scout aren't they? So textile based where as the Stelvio are leather?

I think my main concern is bulk, perhaps it's hard to get warm and waterproof gloves that include harder compound protective inserts without some bulk I guess.

  4. can recommend the Rukka goretex leather ones - done 1000's miles 3 years old and still dry & look like new - expensive but you gets what you pay for

    Don't find them too bulky

  5. Yeah but you have Rickmansworth man hands ;)

  7. Which ones? There's quite a few.

The Dainese Stelvio were £150+ Originally so wouldn't expect them to be bad, it's just as they've been superseded you can pick them up for nearer the £100 mark

  8. They were the Raptor - looks like replace by Argosaurs !

  9. Sorry for the delay in replying, it's my girlfriend's birthday today and I've just got home. The Jerico is a mixed leather and textile with the "stiff" armour and pre bent fingers. You are correct, they are a challenge to get on and off as there are bulky but and it is a big but, they are so comfortable once on I can accept that drawback. They are also expensive but the quality is really very good so I don't anticipate buying winter gloves again as with the Daytona Gortex racing boots that were an arm and a leg even in the sale but are so worth it. 10. I purchased a pair of alpine stars goretex gloves several years ago. I found them too bulky and caused me a few problems whilst riding as I did not have the same feel with them.
