Hi, Looking for peoples opinions on the Dainese torque d1 in boots, Anyone use them? Road use only and im thinking going with the ins mainly for use under my kevlar jeans, Its a struggle getting the outs under jeans, Also are the d1's the ones to go for? Also been eyeing the axial pro ins, Opinions please or is there a better option?? Cheers Jack
I've got them, they took forever to break in, at least 3 months, and they are not generously cut around the calf so initially it felt like I was going to get my blood supply cut off (I don't have very skinny calves). They look and feel great now they're broken in and the "feel" of the boots is very good. I wear them under jeans, sport textiles and leathers. All good.
I have the Axial Pro in boots, and have had this style of boot since 2002 with the first T-Age suit from Dainese. i find them a good mix of safety and practicality, and i like the way they join the suit and make it feel like an un-cumbersome. there is a new model or refresh of the Axle pro in due so there is a lot of discounted stock online, as i picked up a new set for 290 euros a month or so ago.
Not sure if they are the same but I didn’t find the adjustment Velcro in my Dainese boots for a few weeks. Until then my calves were getting squeezed so I thought all Italians had super skinny legs.
Another + from the axial pro in's. Comfy, but the zip can go, but chris at 9lives is a dab had at them for £60. I have normal girth calfs, because I'm not a fatty.
Take it he doesnt replace them like for like and fits some decent zips?? Is that £60 a Pair??, Dainese seem to be stuck on using crap zips on all there gear
Axial Pro in boots here, best and comfiest boots I’ve ever owned. Wear them with everything from Kevlar jeans to Dainese race suit.
