Hello I need of some advice. Just did the annual clean of my mwr filter. Noticed one of the filters had a scratch all the way along one side of metal frame. It's about half way through the foam. No light is coming through. Would you use the filter until next service which will be in 5000 km or would you just replace right away.
Hey Ricky I do have a picture. This is the worse scratch. There is one small one on the other side, that one I'm not worried about. Cross that the light is not coming through. I can see the light of my mobile phone trough the scratch compared to rest of filter. I have already ordered new filters. Question is, would you use this until next service or wait?
Thanks Petsmith. I'm leaning towards not using it. Even though I'm pretty sure it would hold up I think it's not worth the risk. Thanks for the advice.
I wouldn’t use that either, it looks like the foam is starting to break down to me and you really don’t want any of that getting sucked in as Petsmith said.
