Damaged Marchesini Wheels

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by kirks1989, Sep 16, 2018.

  1. Hi all,

I damaged my hypermotard 939 SP wheels on a pothole and will be replacing them this week. Are the dented Marchesini wheels worth anything? Would they still be useable if repaired?

    Cheers

    Kirks

  2. Maidstone Motorliners should be able to fix

  3. Depends on the size and location of the dent. Apicture tells a thousand words...

  4. I have had two forged wheels done at Maidstone Motorliner.
Give them a call - they should be able to do it if not too bad.

  6. If it cannot be repaired it could be a garage wall ornament and put a clock motor and hands in the hub on the good side

  7. Good idea , I have a damaged BST wheel I was wondering what to do with.

  8. If you come up with a price for the wheel, I would be interested!

  9. I have had far worse repaired by Maidstone Motorliner.

Damage similar to yours may need the wheel repainting/powder coating after the repair.

Always handy to have a spare pair of wheels. You can always sell on good/repaired wheels for a better price than knackered wheels. Even taking in the repair costs.

  13. Claim all sorted now and new wheels purchased. The damaged wheels are for sale

  14. How much are you after for them out of interest?

  15. Having spoken to a company regarding repair(which they have said would be pretty straight forward) around the £450 price

  16. So, what are they worth? Any help would be appreciated??

  19. Send the pics over to Maidstone and ask for a rough quote, from there you can decide what to do with them next
