Is there any chance someone could provide some detailed pictures of the footpegs, gear and brake levers of a Darmah SD. I am trying to make a set for my SSD so that I can enjoy it before the end of the summer. I can't bend my knees enough yet to ride with the standard SSD pegs.
Hello Paul, What year is your SSD? Has it got the early foot pegs system or is it the later one with lowered pegs already? Mine is from 1980 with the lowered pegs system.
Back to Classics do both the SD rhs & lhs footrest assemblies with 'delivery time'. You'll have to contact them to see exactly what delivery time is and what the assemblies consist off. Guillaume Thank you. I think yours are the later style, only because my original bike, which was a 79 model had the same set up as my new one. Love the rebuild that you have done on yours. The way you have documented everything with input from others on the forum is incredibly useful.
Andy Thanks for the pictures. I think this is what I am trying to achieve because it will mean I have to bend my knees less than with Guillaume's set up. I think I can make the footrests fairly easily but it's all the linkages that are the issue. Being able to see your brake lever set up is very helpful.

If they weren’t so difficult to source, I would recommend you go the later SSD way instead. But I looked around and unless you have the entire set machined for you, there is very little chance to find some. You would just have to wait for someone to break a late SSD for parts… Have you tried to contact @Paddy Barratt ? He’s a member here and would know if/when this happened.
