Morning All I am sure this has been asked before many times Just had to take the Multistrada for its MOT - Has not been run for about 8 Months Battery been on charge - has gone completly flat before - so charged up - turn it on and the Pin Message displays on the Screen I assumed it would clear once fired up and no So is there anyway to clear it with out taking it to a dealer or do i have to input the Pin code everytime it gets used Thanks Steve
You shouldn't have to, no. I've had the battery off the bike and not been asked for the pin. Once you enter it once, you shouldn't see the message again. That's assuming you've set it once already?
The pin code message should only appear if you press the button under the clip on panel at the front of the tank. Entering the pin code enables you to start the bike without the key being present. It shouldn't come up at any other time.
Maybe all user entered data, including the pin code, has been lost and it is asking you to set a pin code in the same way as a new bike requires a new pin code.
well did not have time to collect it last night from MOT so going in about an Hour will have a look then there is an Indi Ducati workshop next door so may have to pop in
