Just discovered these on eBay - useful little silencer to go in to a de-cat, should you wish to retain the std silencer: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=151873991520&globalID=EBAY-GB Nik
It actually fits inside the OE end can and to be fair makes a very marginal difference. Your ears just ring instead of bleed . Andy
Is it possibile to fit this one AND the arrow cat? I mean the one that fits inside arrow's de-cat. I remember a couple of guys who modified it just a little bit to fit inside the leovince...
I'm thinking fit one of these and run with a a Leo Vince de-cat with the in-line silencer, and put the stock Ducati silencer on the end. Presumably if that's too loud it'll be a case of having to fit something longer in order to have a better chance of adding some additional noise dissipation? Nik
To be fair I'm using it and it does stop flames coming out. I will shortly put up a comparison video when I've sorted the issue. Should be done by the weekend.
Yep. Lazy burn flames too. I think it's partly due to the lubricant applied to help with my issue but still there was a lot and it is f'in loud but the baffle sorts it out to and extent.
No amount of lube would do it bud. Had to resort to cutting the tip off, it was just too big....... It's been done now so will refit tonight and make my sound clip.
This is Leo Vince stock exhuast and no, Repeat NO Baffle. Will edit full sound clip differences and time lapse later but this is teaser for now:
I think where it's bedding in and probably burning a little grease used to ease the joints it's flaming. The baffle does stop it and makes the noise livable. Will post up differences when I edit the footage
That looks more like over-fueling to me, or at least that would be no guess. I'm no expert though! Does it do it on the over-run? Must be mental riding at night...!
Yea it is running rich bottom end, you can smell it but I don't think that was soul issue for flames. I have the baffle in now and it's died it down a bit. It's better with the baffle in, haven't ridden with baffle out.
Standard mapping buddy. Talking to my dealer and you don't need to map it, although obviously it would be better. But no harm will be done.
If anyone is interested. My video on fitting decat pipe. Maybe of some use to someone plus sound comparison at the end. Don't be too mean on the editing, first time I done it lol. Here's the link:
Also to add. Everyone should do this to there bike. Low down smoothness is night and day. If I can notice a difference everyone will. It's such a better bike now and I loved it before.
