Hi all, is it possible to deactivate the annual service light reminder, as I hardly use the bike. No problems with servicing schedules for oil, etc. However, I do have a gripe about the dealer wants the bike back every year for a " check over" @ £150. This, I believe, is more to do with keeping the workshop busy.
Only if you have your own diagnostic tool. The annual service/check over on that model is only 30 mins so £150 seems a bit steep. The Oil service, which includes the Annual check is only 1hr 12mins - that’s perhaps more like £150 of main dealer rate labour inc vat. In addition to the multipoint checks done on the annual service if there are any service campaigns or recalls they’ll be done and any software updates due on your bike will also be done. Then there’s also the potential issue of warranty infringement if the annual check isn’t done? Probably a non-issue but you never know. Alternatively, if the bike is little used, just ignore the on dash notifications.
